Current functionality:
- When Cursor considers the context too full, it offers me a ‘new chat’
- This new chat loads with a summary of the previous chat
- This new chat doesnt load with files that were relevant to the chat
Desired functionality
- At any time I think it’s appropriate to start a ‘new chat’, allow me to start a ‘new chat’*
- With this chat, auto include:
- Files that I added when I started the chat
- Files that Cursor agent deemed relevant, or created during the chat
- A summary of the previous chat
*I often know that Cursor will offer me a new chat after I’ve asked a few more questions.
However, I know that the next thing I want to ask is for a new piece of functionality (that requires the same context), and therefore NOW is the best time to start the new chat.
