Yes, we know that sometimes antivirus programs consider Cursor malware.

It happened to me as well
I’m using Norton and I’m facing the same issue as the rest
Also tried disabling Norton, and then when I tried to open Cursor my PC froze and I had to cold restart my laptop.
Same for me with Norton - very Frustrating!
Solution is mentioned in this link: CURSOR and avast - Discussion - Cursor - Community Forum but it didn’t work for me.
I tried disabling Norton, even then it didn’t work instead my PC got froze.
You can restore the Cursor.exe file by going into “Moved to Quarantine” and then select it > click on three dots “…” in front of it and choose “Restore”.

To what end should i just blindly restore. I think the lack of official response is troubling, It seems to be widespread and I dont really fell comfortable just letting it slide without official confirmations There are many other posts showing up also. Can some cursor official please respond to these concerns.!

I agree with this… should mention that they’re trying to fix it.
I’ve not even looked at the actual security concern as it’s probably nothing, but seems widespread.
I think Dean’s response is pretty official tho too…
