Now that Claude Sonnet 4.5 has been released with their regular version and thinking versions, I am curious to know what models are you folks using to code? Are you using strictly Claude Sonnet 4.5? Or do you go back and forth to different models? Are you always using Claude Sonnet 4.5 Thinking or do you sometimes use Claude Sonnet 4.5 Non-Thinking?
I personally use Claude Sonnet 4.5 regular or thinking for 90% of my non-GUI coding tasks. The other 5% I would use AUTO or GPT5.
For front end design & coding I haven’t yet tried sonnet 4.5 BUT sonnet 4 was NOT very good at front end IMO. I usually used AUTO or GPT 5 for front end.
What is your go to models? Also how do you design/code your front end? Do you use a different tool other than cursor or do you just use different ai models in cursor? (I just asked and posted this question HERE)
