How do you approach UI/UX design and coding in Cursor? Tips for workflows, external tools, and model selection?
Howsit Going Everybody!!!
I’m curious how folks here handle front end UI/UX design and development?
-
Do you use specific AI models in Cursor for front-end UI/UX design, or have you found that some models work significantly better (or worse) than others?
-
Do you create your UI/UX designs in any other tools outside Cursor (like Figma, Uizard, or Anima)? If yes, do you bring those designs back into Cursor? If so, how do you do it?
-
Are there any extensions, plugins, design systems, style guide, specific MCP servers, custom md file you built, or cursor rules you rely on to get better front-end output
-
Is there anything that really bugs you or what’s the most annoying part or what’s the biggest hurdle for you when building user interfaces in Cursor? Have you found any workarounds?
-
Anyone use Cursor’s Figma integration or Fusion? Did it make your workflow smoother, or just add extra steps? Has it actually helped your workflow? Is it worth learning or is time better spent learning a different workflow for UI/UX design and implementation?
Also, It’d be helpful if you could mention what kind of apps you work on (Node.js, Flask, etc.) and what languages you like to code your UI in (HTML, JS, React, etc.)
Looking forward to hearing about everyone’s setups and tips you have. I appreciate any advice or examples you guys can share!
Thank you and Mahalo! Yessah!
