Which cursor version do you guy prefer? I’m considering if i should use an older one instead of the new one.

I use the query mode with the Piper Mode 5 codebase and files, it helps well, but because of the small context window it is almost impossible to work with Sonnet 3.7 as usual, I have to pay for the maximum version, but it is still cheaper than Cline with API or using API separately.

I’ve had the best experience with the 0.46
It seemed to hit the sweet spot with the amount of context being passed to models and their ability to move through code.

0.48, custom modes are such a great addition.
0.45.14 keep chat short, no composer, strict rules, strict prompts (becoming more n more important nowadays) switch models for different tasks.

I dont remember my first version, but ive been with cursor for about 6 weeks and ive had 5 updates since then, since those updates, cursor in my opinion hasn’t improved when talking to it, just seems to get worst and worst then totally forget it had created something then informs me that it can’t create things as it doesn’t have tools to do so.
Is it possible to use an older version without running into problems?
I get errors if I don’t update, and I thought going back was never an option
