What’s the best practice for enabling or not enabling Github Copilot in Cursor? I’m specifically curious about how the autocomplete works when both Github Copilot and Cursor Tab are enabled at the same time.
What takes priority?
Is there an easy way to see where suggestions come from?
What’s recommended?
Hi @mikethewhite
Back when Cursor Tab was still called Copilot++, I used to try that method. But back then, Copilot++ didn’t have the ghost text feature, so it made sense. Now, even though I’ve got a GitHub Copilot subscription, I don’t use it for these tasks. Cursor Tab is the best in this regard. I don’t think it’s worth using them together. If you want to compare their capabilities, try switching between them to see which one works better for you.
