Blocked Chat Requests : Connection Failed Error

This is an absolutely frustrating experience. When I try to use the chat for anything, I am often blocked by the message -

Request ID - de694c40-0722-456c-ade9-63114cf2025e

My internet works well. I am not using any VPN. Don’t have any scraping/ mining activity going on my computer. This makes the IDE unusable at this point.

I have also reached out via email but to no avail.

I am sorry for the trouble @nischalj10. How long have you been experiencing the connection issues? Was it better in the past and it has become worse recently? I am also experiencing this sometimes, but after a retry it clears.

Have you been noticing this with a specific model?

Are you using the Claude 3.5 Sonnet model? They’re having issues today.

I am experiencing the same issue. It started over the weekend.
The chat functionality works but the composer just keeps loading. I have switched connections. and also done a reinstall but same experience.

Would you suggest i go with another llm for now? I am using Claude 3.5 Sonnet model.

Did you delete it following this guide?

For another LLM, I can suggest o1-preview, but it’s expensive and not included in your subscription quota.

Plus i did the uninstall as instructed for Mac machines.

this has been happening intermittently since the last month and has gotten worse in the last couple of weeks.

I’ve had this happen on and off and changing to an old GPT has generally worked…

If you have a GPT subscription and your API code works then I assume it’s an accessibility issue as apparently some of the other models can be on and off available.

In attempt to be of some help though possibly work through in-line edits and minimize what you’re asking and the directory contents and shut off the “always use the internet” may help /shrug.

Is anyone still having connectivity issues?
Mine just keeps spinning with the connection failed. And at the bottom i just see “Generating…” for the last 5 days. Is there a support i can call. As i am paid customer.

Update: It’s flaky. Works randomly if I keep just retrying.
