Bug Report: Cursor applies file changes when updating to a newer version

Describe the Bug

Cursor applies pending changes when installing a suggested update.

Steps to Reproduce

Wait for a new version to become available.
When prompted to update, set some unapplied changes (e.g. pending ‘Accept’)
Click the popup on the bottom left to perform the update
Changes have been accepted

Expected Behavior

Changes should remain pending, waiting for user to accept

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Please note: this is the version I’ve just updated to - so the issue applies to the previous version

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

hi @hillel thank you for the bug report. Do you know if you were on 1.6 before the update or perhaps earlier versions?

Also can you check again the version, it seems odd as we are now on 1.7 and post shows Version: 1.104.2 (user setup)

Yes it is likely an issue in the earlier version that caused it.
