Bugbot is Not working "Bugbot is disabled for this repository"

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

BugBot

Describe the Bug

Bugbot does not run when creating a pull request, and it does not run even when manually triggered using @cursor review.
Instead, it always returns the message: Skipping Bugbot: Bugbot is disabled for this repository

Even though my subscription is active and permissions appear correct, Bugbot never activates.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a PR → Bugbot never runs.
2.Comment @cursor review on the PR → Bugbot responds with: Skipping Bugbot: Bugbot is disabled for this repository
    3. Delete the Bugbot GitHub App from GitHub multiple times.
    4. Reinstall the Bugbot GitHub App multiple times, each time ensuring permissions were granted.
    5. Reconnect GitHub from the Cursor Dashboard after each reinstall.
    6. Toggle Bugbot settings in Cursor Dashboard (Disable All / Enable All) several times.
    7. Test across multiple repositories.

Bug reproduces every single time.

Expected Behavior

Bugbot should automatically run on PR creation or when manually invoked, as long as the GitHub App is installed and permissions are granted.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report and the Request ID.

In the meantime, please check:

  • Dashboard > Integrations: the GitHub App is installed on the right org/repo and access is granted to this specific repo - Cursor - The AI Code Editor
  • Dashboard > Bugbot: the target repository is enabled - Cursor - The AI Code Editor
  • Do you have two subscriptions/installations on the same GitHub account (work + personal)? This might cause a routing bug. Temporary workaround: disable the personal GitHub installation in the Dashboard or use a separate GitHub account for the personal subscription - details: Bugbot | Cursor Docs

Could you share:

  • The organization and repository where it reproduces
  • A screenshot of Dashboard > Bugbot (how many Enabled) and Dashboard > Integrations (which repos are selected)
  • If available, a screenshot of the @cursor review reply in the PR

Let me know if these checks help.

havig the same issue, I’ve been deleting and re-installing cursor app on github for 2 days now, giving it access to all repositories, but each time, I get the same message that bugbot is disabled for this repo. Delete and re-install used to “work” before, but for the past two days, I had no luck despite multiple attempts.
