Bugbot unable to find gitlab repo

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Somewhere else…

Describe the Bug

In the cursor bugbot settings interface, both on chrome and in cursor, when connecting gitlab and searching for repositories I am unable to see the specific repo I want to add. It looks like the amount of repos is capped at 50. However when I use the search function and add the first 3 digits of the repo name, it appears, but says it is enabled, however it is not enabled as I have only just connected. I am then unable to connect it.

My gitlab group is organised with sub groups, with company/groupA, company/groupB and then some top level repos at company/repo. The top level repos are not being shown

Steps to Reproduce

Use a gitlab account with either more than 50 repos or a mixture of groups and top level repos. attempt to link to bugbot

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. A similar issue with an incomplete repository list was fixed in December, but your case looks like a new edge case, especially the part about top-level repos and the 50 repo limit.

To pass this to our engineers, we need a few details:

  • Are you on gitlab.com or a self-hosted instance?
  • What’s your Team ID in Cursor? You can find it in the Dashboard URL or in team settings.
  • What role do you have in those repos: Owner, Maintainer, or Developer?
  • The exact time (with timezone) when you tried to connect

In the meantime, you can try:

  • Disconnect the GitLab integration in Dashboard > Integrations, then connect it again
