If you look at the following GitHub repo, it might assist in your understanding of how the docs feature works:

In particular, if you look at this JSON file it will list all the docs sites that are crawled by default:
https://github.com/getcursor/crawler/blob/main/docs.jsonl
So the docs feature is intended to facilitate consumption of dedicated documentation sources.
That said, you can paste any link into your chat, to add the content of that particular link into the context of your chat:
