Cannot access past chats or retrieve past data in local storage in 0.5.x

after updating to the latest 0.5.x version today (sorry, couldn’t rmb the exact version…),I couldn’t retrieve the past chats (all stuck at loading page for both my current projects) or the historical records stored in my local storage.

:white_check_mark: saw this has been reported but haven’t seen the solution so I created new
:lady_beetle: after updating cursor, I tried to access the past chats and got stuck at loading state. multiple restarting attempts didn’t work. cursor couldn’t read the historical files stored in my disk as well

Hey, this issue might be related to a large chat history in your project. Cursor isn’t the best place to store chats long-term. If you want to keep your history, you can export it using this extension:

To resolve the issue, try renaming your project or moving it to a different location on your disk. This will break the link to the chat history and should allow you to continue working.
