Describe the Bug

When I setup a tunnel, i get “the extension ms-vscode.remote-server” cannot be installed because it was not found. I can use remote-ssh, but not tunnel for some reason.

Steps to Reproduce

Install remote-ssh on macos and try to start tunnel by clicking the two arrows in the bottom right corner.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

I am also having this exact issue with the latest 1.7.17 version. Would love to know a possible fix.

Hi all, the remote tunnels extension is not supported in Cursor.

Instead, we recommend you use our remote SSH extension. If your remote machine does not support direct ssh access, we would recommend that you use a remote SSH solution, such as ngrok, to create a tunnel from your machine to the internet, and then use our remote SSH extension to connect to the endpoint that ngrok provides.
