Can't get back to standard IDE from agent mode

Describe the Bug

After updating to cursor 3, I’ve opened the new Agents window and closed my traditional IDE, but now I cannot figure out how to get it back. Closing and reopening Cursor only opens the Agents window which I do not want. Everything online says Cmd+E but that’s not doing anything

Steps to Reproduce

Open Cursor 3, open the new Agents window, close your IDE. How do you get it back?

Expected Behavior

There should be an easy way to reopen my IDE.

Yes - Cursor is unusable

I finally found it through the search icon at the top left and scrolling down to Workspace→ Open Editor Window. This should be so much easier to do.

Thanks for the feedback! We’ve heard it more than once, and we’ll keep working on it. Shift + Cmd + N will also get you back to the editor view.

Thank you for posting the solution! I got absolutely stuck in the Agent Mode window on my Windows machine this morning too. Even when I used your solution, it took me back to the IDE and prompted me to choose a project. When I clicked on the project, it only took me back to the Agent Mode window again.
It took a long series of closing the Agent Mode window, trying to click on the project, and re-navigating to the project through the Open Folder button to finally get my code open in the Editor… I’m sure not exactly sure how I finally got back. I just know I won’t be opening Agent Mode again for a while.
