Can't Open Chat After Update 0.47

I updated cursor and now I can’t open the Chat. I can’t use the shortcuts. Tried CMD + I (which i always used before) and CMD + L. No chat. If I highlight text I see the option to click on Chat or Edit. If I click Chat, nothing happens.

I can do CMD + K and see that chat box, but that doesn’t seem nearly as useful as the Chat Window.

I’m on Mac.

This makes it essentially unusable.

Hey, I updated, and everything is working great for me. Try opening an empty project and check if the issue persists, it might be related to a specific project. I also recommend clearing the cache, as it can sometimes help.

Thank you. This fixed it. I had to create a new window for the chat the appear.

Same issue here and nothing works. Chat not opening anymore from shortcut or cmd palette. Can’t use anymore.

For what I see from the all downloads page Downloads | Cursor - The AI Code Editor there is no version 0.47 the latest seems 0.46. Might be the issue.

Same for me. Nothing works.

I am completely unable to open the chat, rendering Cursor pretty useless!

Same for me. Nothing works at all. Cursor is pretty useless without chat window.

I installed older version of it (0.46.11) and it’s working.
It’s not working for me on latest version (0.47.8).

Removing and re-installing cursor 0.47 worked. However, it also meant I lost any configurations I had done, such as keybindings, which was not ideal!

did you not backup the settings?

In hindsight, that would have been the sensible thing to do!
