Can't save User Rules

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

I launch cursor to edit my global rules, because I just edited my global AGENTS.md from opencode.
I see that cursor had the ‘brilliant’ idea of changing this interface again, without keeping the old values. Joy.
No matter, I try to modify it. But I get the message ‘Failed to add rule, Please try again later.’

I think my text is too long, so I try with a single word, but I get the same message.

I’m on Ubuntu 20.04 and Cursor 1.7.44.

What should I do? Does Cursor support a ‘global’ agent file in the ~/.cursor folder? (That would be cool, we could make symlinks.)

Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks =)

Steps to Reproduce

Just try to edit “User Rules”
