Describe the Bug
I use the latest version of Curson on Ubuntu.
When I try to Sign In in Mermaid Chart extension , I am forwarded to the auth webpage, select Auth via GitHub, and then redirected back to the Cursor via xdg-open “Web page want to open assiciated application”.
The same flow in VSCode goes fine. But in Cursor it opens a new instance, but the Sign In process in prev instance still work. And after some timeout it fails.
I tried to play with descktop application louncher by adding %U or %F argument after --no-sendbox, but it doesn’t help.
Steps to Reproduce
- Install on Ubuntu 24.04 the latest ver of Cursor AppImage
- Install Open VSX Registry extension
- Press Ctrl + Shift + P and find MermidChart: Login
- Sing in via GitHub
- Press xdg-open “Web page want to open assiciated application”.
Expected Behavior
After permitting access to my GitHub account I expect web page redirect me back into Cursor and extension Auth process complete
