Folders one after another. So clearly some scanning is happening. What is up with that?

I think I have seen a few others that are similar, and perhaps have had an explanation, but I can’t locate them at the moment.
hi! we dont explicitly scan anything. this usually happens when either (a) you open cursor in the home (~/) folder and the file explorer loads up the files or (b) if some extension tries to do it.
we do not explicitly every look outside your workspace directory
