Changing shortcuts dosnt work

i am trying to change the cursor tab autocomplete/prediction to a different keybind and i changed everything which uses tab to something else but it changed nothing as when i still press tab the text prediction gets filled in.

Same issue here.

You can workaround by changing the keybindings.json directly ( press Ctrl + Shift + P and select Preferences: Open Keyboard Shortcuts (JSON)).

Iā€™ve tried changing the shortcuts in both the UI and JSON and it still doesnā€™t apply the changes. I changed every shortcut listed that uses the ā€˜tabā€™ key.

Iā€™ve also found that it isnā€™t only the tab key that commits suggestions. If I try to arrow around things are committed as well.

After editing the JSON file (and restarting Cursor) I still see ā€œtabā€ in the UI settings. They seem to have reset themselves even though the JSON file still shows my new bindings.

Iā€™m running through it all again and weā€™ll see. I havenā€™t modified the global key bindings. Iā€™ll try that next.
