I am having the same issue. I am unable to go further in my project because it won’t read anything I paste, whether is plain text or code. I am paying for this because it was super awesome when I started and I think there is great potential but yeah, this is quite annoying.
That works for me. When it is not able to read the pasted text, I open a new chat and then go right back to the chat I was just in and paste the text again and it’s able to read it. Quite annoying though.
I am also having this same issue. I work on two machines and copying text into chat works fine on one but on the other the AI always says it can’t see the code. This happens if I highlight and ctrl shift L or if I copy paste code directly into the chat box, either way it says please provide the code or I can’t see the code
I copy paste code directly into the chat interface and ask if it can see the code and get this response, “I apologize for any confusion, but I cannot see any attached code or files. I can only respond to text that you type or paste directly into the chat. If you have code to share, please copy and paste it directly into the chat window, and I’ll be happy to help you with it”
I’m getting this error now in 0.47.9
Claude keeps saying “User mentions an error but doesn’t provide any example of the error” even though I used “Add to Chat” shortcut. What is happening???
Could you check when you add to chat that it actually adds to your current chat or if it adds it somewhere else?
I have been having this issue for awhile and it is still present in:

It does not matter if I use the “Add to Chat” button, CMD+L or just copy paste.
