Chat history: clicking past conversations does nothing, restart does not help

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE – Chat History Panel

Describe the Bug

When I open the chat history panel and click on any previous conversation,
nothing happens at all. The click is completely ignored every time —
restarting Cursor does not resolve the issue.

The history list displays correctly (all past conversations are visible
and searchable), but clicking any item produces zero response. No
navigation, no new tab, no error message.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Cursor IDE
  2. Click the chat history icon (clock icon in the top-right of the chat panel)
  3. The history panel opens and shows all past conversations correctly
  4. Click on any conversation in the list
  5. Nothing happens — current chat remains unchanged, no navigation occurs
  6. Restart Cursor and repeat steps 2–5
  7. Issue persists after restart

Expected Behavior

Clicking a conversation in the history list should open that conversation.

Actual Behavior

Clicking does nothing every time. Restarting Cursor does not fix the issue.
The history panel is completely non-functional for switching conversations.

What I have tried

  • Restarting Cursor → issue persists
  • Clicking different items in the list → all unresponsive
  • Searching for a conversation and clicking the result → still no response

Operating System

macOS 14 (Sonoma)
