Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue, and the team is aware that after a recent update, clicking items in chat history doesn’t open them.

Your report helps us prioritize. We don’t have an ETA for a fix yet, but we’re tracking it.

I’ll let you know if anything changes.

I got the same issue after last update. Very annoying when you want to pick up a previous thread with valuable context.

I accidentally created a duplicate thread for this same issue. I did find a solution, but it does seem to be a bug.

I confirm the solution suggested by MidnightOak works also for me

Also having this issue.

Update: there’s a workaround for this bug.

Click the double-arrow icon in the top-right corner of the chat panel. This will switch the layout, and after that the chat history will respond to clicks again. On Mac you can also use Cmd+E (on Windows, Ctrl+E), but note that the bug is tied specifically to the “Swap Agent Sidebar Location” mode, so if you switch back, the issue will return.

More details are in this thread, where @MidnightOak found and described the workaround.

I downgraded to Cursor 2.5 while this is sorted out. It’s crucial workflow to access old chats AND the per-file review overlay. Btw Cursor please never lose that overlay, I much prefer it to the standalone review tab!
