Since yesterday, my chat is not responding. It just has the ‘…’ (three dots) going on with the ‘Cancel generation’ button active. I even upgraded to Pro thinking the free version may be making it stop working after the two weeks of trial.
Composer seems to be working. However, I really require the Chat to work. Can you help fix? I have raised a bug too but haven’t had a response yet.

What do you mean by start a new chat how do I close an existing one?
or you just mean try again because I’ve been doing nothing but trying. Closed and reopened cursor. Validated I’ve got the latest version.
as soon as I went pro I lost the ability to use chat which seems counterintuitive.

You can start a new chat with the + icon in the top right corner.
This will clear your chat history and start fresh, which should resolve you being unable to use chat at all.
For context, we have identified a bug in the last few days that can cause chats to get stuck Generating like this, but we should have a fix out very soon!
