Chat says it doesn't have access to file but it does

Ask a question in chat, reference files with @, result:

  • “I don’t have access to that file”

Expected outcome: It has access to the file

Note:

  • the files are in the repository
  • the files are not in .gitignore
  • the files are not in .cursorignore
  • the files were accessed by Cursor just minutes before this query
  • the files are not empty, they have code in them
  • the files were executed with Javascript, therefore the computer has access to them
  • we used the @ symbol and have witnessed the file is being highlighted in yellow, indicating that it is included in the context

This didn’t seem to be an issue with previous versions of Cursor?

It stops us from using Cursor because it needs access to files in the repository to get the right context and make the right changes.
