When I add a file to the chat using the + button the LLM can no longer see the contents of the file. This is a new issue as of the latest update. I’ve reviewed the similar posts but they are not the same issue.
Does this happen in old sessions? What happens if you start a new conversation and add a file to the context? Also, ensure your codebase is indexed.
I’m having the same issue: Cursor can’t “see” the contents of my files that I attach in context.
"I apologize, but I don’t see the contents of these files being shared in your message. "

I’m also having the same issue with it not including files in the context after a while (i was including binary files in the composer and it did work but then after a bit it stopped including them, a restart of the editor + restart of my PC running it did not fix including binary files but it did start including back the non binary files, i did not test putting these binary files in a new composer chat)
The message i got when it did not include the binary files was: “I don’t see the TimerCam .cfg files in the provided context. However, I can help decode the resolution table from the main.js file. Let me check the JavaScript code to find the resolution mapping.”
