Hello everyone,
I’m hoping to get some advice on selecting the best Cursor plan for my needs. I’m a full-stack engineer, and I’ve transitioned to a workflow where I develop almost exclusively with AI assistance. It’s an integral part of my daily work.
Here’s a summary of my current situation and usage pattern:
-
Current Plan: I’m on the $100/month plan for Claude and I have never hit the usage cap.
-
Past Experience: I previously tried Claude’s $20/month plan but reached the limit almost instantly.
-
Daily Usage: According to my Claude Code status line, my daily consumption is consistently between $10 to $15 .
Given this usage, I have two main questions:
-
Which Cursor plan would be the most appropriate and cost-effective for me? I’ve seen the Pro plan ($20/month), but given my daily spend, it seems I would surpass the included credits very quickly. Would the best approach be the Pro plan with usage-based billing enabled, or should I be considering a higher tier like Pro+ or even Ultra from the start?
-
What are the key benefits of switching from a Claude-centric workflow to Cursor? I’m interested to know what advantages I can expect by moving to Cursor’s integrated environment, beyond just model access.
I appreciate any insights or recommendations you can provide.
Thanks in advance for your help!
