I have been trying now for the last 4 hours having tried hundreds on times i am guessing and it is permanently in this state!!
It worked fine all day yesterday! So are you telling me that there has been such a significant increase in requests today versus yesterday?! When you factoring in global timezones that help to flatten load, this doesnt seem reasonable?
I have a feeling that High Load is not entirely related to high load!
Standard Claude3.7 is also permanently on high load
The problem is that when you are working on something that was assisted with 3.7-thinking, 3.5 simply can’t cut it and it just duplicates previously created files and generally behaves as though it wants to systematically destroy your entire existence!!
I am getting sick to death of this!! Cursor are either feeding us mackerel or they are having much more serious issues than they are honestly communicating about!
I for one, can’t continue like this!!
I am now actively shopping for a more reliable service than Cursor because their entire focus seems to be on pushing more trash on us, rather than getting what is currently there working reliably, regardless of the lip service issued.
In the past, and I imagine here, the issue has been Anthropic cannot cope with the demand. 3.7 is too popular, and Anthropic don’t have enough servers to serve the demand from Cursor users. I suspect this more of an Antropic issue than Cursor being at fault.
If the other providers could just ship a model as good as 3.7 then it would be less of an issue!
How is this our problem as the paying customer to Cursor?
But as I mentioned it worked perfectly for me all day yesterday! So are you suggesting the load significantly reduced between yesterday and today?
We pay Cursor for a service. Cursor pay Anthropic for a service. If we are unable to use Cursor, the thing that we pay for, then accommodations need to be made. Don’t advertise how 3.7 is available and awesome if it can never be used consistently, until they resolve the service issue they have from Anthropic. It’s practically the simplest lesson to learn in economics: Supply and Demand.
Its actually a Trading standards issue. Cursor are selling a product/service that is not fit for purpose! And I am sure there is going to be legal recourse against Cursor if they don’t solve this soon! If it has not been started already.
If Anthropic can’t cope with the demand, then Cursor need to remove the option and reduce subscription charges until they can supply a product that is legally fit for purpose!!
They clearly have an idea of what demand they need to fulfill and how much of that they are unable to by now! So the decision to continue this line of service level, is a conscious decision to defraud its customers! There’s no two ways about it!
Claude 3.5 has systematically destroyed 3 months of work this morning. Luckily I backed up as soon as i sensed 3.5 was performing really poorly and 3.7 was ornamental today. But I have lost almost another full day now trying to achieve what i could have done in 10 mins with a working 3.7-thinking.
In the future I can literally see a group legal class action forming against Cursor if they continue down this route! lol. I can see if coming, and they will win because of the irresponsible nature of how the company is being run! They are selling steak sandwiches where the filling is roadkill
I have responded to you in another thread, but if you or anyone is ever unhappy with your Cursor experience, drop us an email at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to discuss a refund!
