Claude 4 still consumes request quotas when it prompts ‘We’re experiencing high demand for Claude 4 Sonnet right now. Please switch to the ‘auto-select’ model, another model, or try again in a few moments,’ even though it does nothing. I have already wasted nearly ten requests this way.
