The AI never knows its own actual model. The Cursor system-prompt tells it which one it is, regardless of which one you really picked (all the other non-anthropic models use the cursor 3.5 system prompt, so they too all think they’re sonnet 3.5)
I still haven’t been able to try Opus. Only Sonnet 4 works. Opus keeps saying that the network is too busy or something like that. I have been trying several times since launch, but still no luck. Does anybody have the same problem?

For me Claude 4 Opus is always unavailable due to high demand. Been waiting to use it for 2 days now. It shows the same thing no matter what time of day I try. I am a pro user, this should not happen.

Just here to confirm a drastic increase in file edit issues in Agent mode. Newline/carriage returns are often missing when edits are applied to files. So, the model eventually decides to start from scratch and may replace a few hundred lines of code with 10 or 15 lines. Lots of restore checkpoint and reject all since Sonnet 4 introduction.
As a brand new model, our capacity for Claude 4 is limited at the moment due to the model’s popularity and therefore is not currently available in the slow pool.
Once it’s usage has stabilised and further capacity from our inference providers is available, it should be available in the slow pool soon, but for now if you are out of fast requests, you will need to enable usage-based pricing to use this model.
Some file edit issue were occurring over the last 12 hours (as flagged by @RichardChinnis for example), but these should now be resolved.

Hey! Thanks for the update. But why do I have to enable usage-based pricing even though I have tons of pro requests still left. Would love to get someone to take a look into this!
Cloud agents have been terrible for coding. They fix something, and then they spend 10 minutes fixing something to fix something. Then they say that the code is corrupted. I will not use Claude. Those agents are awful.
Can confirm file editing is much improved this morning.

I had the same issue.
I’ve used universal dmg file for my macOS platform and with some reason it wasn’t updated automatically…
How I fixed it on macOS (arm64):
go to Downloads | Cursor - The AI Code Editor, download the latest version of cursor (currently it’s 0.50) and replace what you have locally.
