Describe the Bug

Title: Claude Code extension webview blank in bottom panel - “Index out of bounds” errors

Cursor Version: 2.2.20 (arm64)
OS: macOS Tahoe 26.2
Extension: Claude Code (Anthropic)

Bug:
When Claude Code is docked in the bottom panel (next to Terminal), the webview renders blank. Works fine in left/right sidebar.

Logs show:

  • “Unexpected error checking unified sidebar visibility: Index out of bounds” (multiple)
  • “MaxListenersExceededWarning: Possible EventEmitter memory leak detected”

Workaround:
Right-click Claude Code icon → “Reset Location” moves it to sidebar where it works.

Expected:
Webview should render in bottom panel like other extensions.

Steps to Reproduce

When Claude Code is docked in the bottom panel (next to Terminal), the webview renders blank. Works fine in left/right sidebar.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

I can’t reproduce this on my end. Could you share a screenshot of what you’re seeing (the webview rendered blank next to the terminal), and the error?
