Claude thinking is incredible: pulling artifacts from Claude to Cursor - if new to claude/cursor participate

THE POINT IS THAT IF YOU WANT TO LEARN HOW TO VIBE THROUGH CURSOR, THIS IS AN INTERESTING METHOD TO LEARN THROUGH DOING AN INTERESTING PROJECT>> SEE THE END FOR MORE INFO

(Ill need to reformat this once better organized - but wanted to share to get feedback as I want to know if this is how you guys ‘vibe’ with these tools…)

The artifacts in this post track the pre Citizens United net worth of politicians in congress and post net worth and which committees and laws they abided over and profited from… I’m learning how to vibe into a deep research…

I use claude code desktop to produce entries based on prompts into what I want to explore as a project - and THEN pull artifacts to Cursor for context to flesh out the project…

(the reason this particular Q session relates to Cursor is because of the following interests that I constantly mentally track: Oligarchs, Technology, and how these two things shape our Society and Civilization…

(I was top mod of /r/conspiracy for a decade until… the Ellen Pao ‘incident’)

the reason this is relevant to @Cursor is how these things are Entangled (if you know of the term ‘Entanglements’ - ive written about this in the past, but its a known term in AI circles.

While listening to a podcast (JRE #2298 - with Kurt Metzger, there was a lot of talk about political funding and money and doge and such… and Citizens United

So I shiny_object to a claude inter bcz I am really keen on uncovering government corruption esp btwn Oligarchs and their minions. (WEF, nwo, etc)

SO:

im pulling artifacts from claude into cursor to build a [thing] – I’d love it if others would like to contribute, and post to a public repo with assets and artifacts that exposes these…

Ensure your local environment with Cursor has

  • Claude Desktop/CLI
  • Github CLI
  • Cursor (I am sticking to 45.14 for the moment but DL whatever version works for you)

SO:

Trying a diff approach to pipe btwn Claude and Cursor more smoothly.

I want to create apreamble to Claude such that it knows that this piping will happen.

Also - I forgot that I can mount/write to Gdrive via Claude/OAI and such, as I have it already mapped to a drive on my local box - so that I can pipe artifacts to Gdrive and see them on windows and have @Cursor be able to agentically pick it up…

PLEASE BUILD THAT MCP..

(Lets give that a try too…

Based on the inventory of artifacts we’ve created so far and your request for a comprehensive approach, I’ve created a single, detailed prompt for Cursor to use. This prompt will enable Cursor to agentically create the entire Citizens United Impact Analysis project without fragmentation.

The “Comprehensive Prompt for Cursor - Citizens United Impact Analysis Project” artifact I’ve provided:

  1. Defines Cursor’s role as implementing a comprehensive data analysis project examining the Citizens United ruling’s impacts
  2. Provides complete context about the project’s scope, including the key research questions and areas of analysis
  3. Lays out the entire project structure with all necessary directories and files
  4. Gives detailed implementation instructions for each component:
  • Database models
  • Data collection modules
  • Analysis models
  • Visualization components
  • Dashboard application
  • Supporting utilities
  1. Specifies implementation guidelines for modularity, error handling, documentation, and sample data generation
  2. Identifies key patterns that should be reflected in any sample data generation

This prompt is designed to be self-contained and comprehensive, allowing Cursor to understand the entire project scope and implement each component correctly, even without direct access to the raw data sources.

To use this prompt with Cursor:

  1. Copy the entire content of the “Comprehensive Prompt for Cursor” artifact
  2. Paste it into Cursor as a single prompt
  3. Ask Cursor to implement the components one by one, following the structure outlined in the prompt
  4. Use the implementation guidelines and specifications as reference points for evaluating Cursor’s output

I want you in on this researck

May you please. ALL OF YOU

It would really be great to extend Cursor with better research and planning capability.
From what i see there are very good planning and preparation steps being made to achieve the goal.

I’m currently too busy to partcipate fully in a new project but i want to add my observations and some suggestions

Observations:

  • This has a potential for two great solutions where cursor users are struggling which is besides the planned tools focus:
    • Learning: Cursor and any AI tool need to help a new user and someone new to prompting and AI usage how to learn using them effectively without losing their mind and nerves, with the great additional benefit of avoiding low quality bug reports/issue posts here.
    • Integration: Either as a direct Cursor integration or an MCP in form of systematical research

Suggestions

  • Find members who have experience with teaching others or are willing to share their experience.
  • Find members who are experienced in MCP server creation and could help integrate this
