CLI: Agent sends follow-up mid-edit

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor CLI

Describe the Bug

If you edit a follow-up, the agent will send the follow-up while you’re typing instead of only sending when you’re done.
Not a biggie, just happened a couple times today and yesterday. I didn’t see any related issues in the forum.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Say “Wait 10 seconds”
  2. Send a follow-up, and then edit that follow-up. The agent will send the follow-up message mid-editing.

Expected Behavior

The follow-up should only send when done editing.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report and the screencast. I can reproduce it, and I’ve confirmed the behavior. Editing a follow-up should keep the message queued until you send it yourself with Enter or cancel with Esc, not send unfinished text when the current turn ends.

I’ve passed this to the team. I can’t share a timeline yet, but I’ll post an update here if I get one.
