Cloud agent does not have permissions to read GitHub issues

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cloud Agent (GitHub, Slack, Web, Linear)

Describe the Bug

This was reported already a few times in the past (e.g. here Cloud Agent not able to load GitHub issue) and the response was always that it’s a known issue and the recommended solution is to create a token with the required permissions and use that instead.

This is actually quite surprising that the agent can read/write PRs but cannot read/write issues. Is there any plan to update the default permissions here?

I’d like to enable the cloud agent in my company for others to use, but asking everyone to create their own tokens is a bit much.

I understand that one could copy & paste the issue in the prompt, but there might be some important discussion happening e.g. in comments, which makes it less convenient.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Ask the cloud agent to summarize or fix a GitHub issue in a private repo.

Expected Behavior

It can read the issue.

Hi @Szymon_Nowak!

There are lots of open threads about this. I suggest continuing the discussion in one of them.
