Cloud Mediator/Orchestrator agent

Feature request for product/service

Cloud Agent (GitHub, Slack, Linear,…)

Describe the request

I would love to use the new Cursor iOS app + a persistent Cloud Agent as an Orchestrator that coordinates my existing team of local sidebar agents (PM, Architect, Backend, Frontend, etc.) on the desktop.

Desired flow:
I prompt the Cloud Orchestrator with a feature request.
It forwards the prompt to my local PM agent.
PM handles planning, branch creation, issues, and produces a handoff MD file for the next agent.
The Orchestrator picks up the handoff and delivers it to the next local agent (user simply switches sidebar session).
This continues automatically through the chain until QA / final steps.
The Orchestrator only notifies me for testing approval on dev or when open questions arise.

I understand why direct interaction between local agents is restricted right now (preventing runaway chains, maintaining stability, context isolation, safety, etc.). I do however feel that the Orchestrator can be preset with clear stop conditions to prevent runaway behavior.
This feature would let users keep the large context and specialized setup they’ve built in local agent teams, while gaining persistent cloud orchestration and convenient mobile control via the iOS app.
It feels like a natural next step for complex, multi-agent workflows.

Operating System (if it applies)

MacOS

Hey, thanks for the detailed feature request. It’s well written, and the flow is clear.

Multi-agent orchestration and managing agents from mobile is something we’re already working on, so your scenario fits the direction we’re heading. But the specific setup where a persistent cloud orchestrator runs your local sidebar agents with automatic handoff files and only pings you for approvals or questions isn’t a standalone locked-in feature yet. It’s more part of a broader picture, and I don’t have a timeline for it.
