rules didn’t work very well also before the last update of cursor, but now it seems they just don’t get used… I have simple rules to test that like to write changelog.md every time he changes something. This worked well a time long, but now my rules are ignored at all…
Also my rule, Which says, to scan my repo every time I ask something doesn’t work anymore. I need to add every file. if a file isn’t added with “@” he wont find it…

ok now its strange a lot of rules with setting “always” aren’t used in the chat.. so they aren’t shown in “project rules”.

Same. It’s a very rare occurrence for Claude to pickup the project rules. In fact, in the last week or so it hasn’t at all. Maybe longer. Thanks for bringing this up.
I assume it’s an issue with Cursor and not the model itself just being incredibly bullish.
yeah im sure its the cursor. since it changed with updates. but OI didnt test it with other models so I wrote it that way.
