Cmd + K in terminal not working anymore

Describe the Bug

In previous versions, I could open an AI agent popup for the terminal while focusing on the terminal using the Cmd + K combination. This no longer works.

When I try this key combination, I get the following warning:
cmd+K was pressed, Waiting for second key of chord

I would like to specifically mention that I have not customized any shortcuts for the Cursor.

My guess is that the “Generate in Terminal” command has lower priority than the “Clear console” command, or these two commands conflict. Note: The sorting in the screenshot is set to “Sort by precedence.”

I believe this error needs to be fixed urgently. I was unable to open the “Generate in Terminal” feature using cmd+k or any custom assigned key combination. I think this is quite a serious issue for the Cursor experience. I spend most of my time on Cursor in this area.

Steps to Reproduce

Open a terminal,
Press cmd + K

Expected Behavior

Expected: Agent popup should open for the terminal area.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, it looks like this is a known issue where Cmd + K doesn’t work in the terminal opened as an editor. If you open the terminal via the command palette with “Create New Terminal in Editor Area,” it won’t work (the team is already working on a fix). However, if you drag the terminal into the editor area, it should work.
