Hello -
No matter what I try to do, it seems both chat and composer want to add the suggested code but then delete huge codeblocks, often times all of the code.
Anyone know why this is happening? Are you experiencing this?
Thanks -

Hey, do you use any rules for AI? You can clearly specify in them what the model should and shouldn’t do.
Yes. Definitely.
However, I don’t have an included rule which informs the LM to not remove code when applying new code.
Do you have any specific suggestions for this rule?
Thank You
This is something that happens to me frequently, many times composer makes a specific modification in a file, and deletes by mistake large blocks of code, adding at the end of the deleted “the previous code remains as before” or similar messages, so you have to carefully review, and generally go back and discard the changes until at some point you manage to do it without this error, or start a new composer.
In cursor rules I always specify that he must be very punctual and surgical with the changes applied, and so on, but he seems not to take this into account.
In my case it is not something that always happens but it happens frequently, especially with files of more than 1000 lines from what I have seen.
