I’ve been trying cursor and loving it.
Not sure if I messed with a setting or something, but now when it looks at code and edits, it’s not changing anything within the code base itself (as it was previously). Can someone explain? Thank you!!!
Just checking that you’ve not done what I sometimes do and you start chatting in Chat mode rather than Composer? Because chat mode will require you to apply the changes, and you won’t see any ‘live editing’ on your file. Composer mode will make the changes directly to the file.
Can you confirm which mode you’re using?

Yeah it’s composer.
FWIW it’s the free version, but I didn’t get an alert that that particular thing won’t work any more (I will be subscribing)
Interesting…which model are you using? Have you done the old ‘switch it off and on again’? (restart cursor

lol I did.
The thing is, I still see the “apply”button for code it creates, but it’s no longer changing it within the main code base window.
Hmm, sorry the only time I’ve seen this behaviour was when I was accidentally in Chat mode instead of Composer mode. Hopefully someone else might be able to help!

So I reinstalled and uninstalled and now it’s “back”.
I just want to know what happened!

Composer also has a switch under it for chat / agent mode, maybe it was on the wrong one there. It switches randomly for me sometimes, but then it tells me it has no access to anything and i know thats the case.
