Am I missing something here? I feel like when I first started using Cursor, when I would use the global context in the chat (with codebase), it would use maybe a couple of “pro” messages. And now, when I do it, it uses something like 20 messages every time. And oftentimes, it just hangs and does nothing at all. Has something changes or am I misunderstanding something?

did you exclude files like your virtual environment?
Yes, indeed I do! The problem has since stopped. I am unsure if it was a bug. I reached out to support about a week ago now but have not heard anything back.

glad it stopped atleast
as to why it might have happend
there is a snippet from the privacy section from cursor
- Our indexing feature often experiences heavy load, which can cause many requests to fail. This means that sometimes, files will need to be uploaded several times before they get fully indexed. One way this manifests is that if you check the network traffic to
repo42.cursor.sh
, you may see more bandwidth used than expected.
Guess that something similar happened to you?
though the indexing shouldnt be done with your API requests / 500 Limit in my opinion
I am more annoyed I have emailed them directly twice and received nothing back.
