Describe the Bug

Codebase indexing in Cursor settings is stuck “Loading…”

Steps to Reproduce

Open a folder in a remote WSL window

Expected Behavior

Indexing completes and UI shows options to resync or delete index

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

I had to purge the entire install on my system, reinstall v0.42.5, and re-clone my repo, and open it without using a devcontainer for the indexing to work.

Between the devcontainer indexing regression and removal of long context I just cant tell if user happiness even matters to cursor devs or if they are just trying to chase more VC cash by generating fully automated IDE hype.

Chasing the self driving car dream is great and all, but having working tools along the way kinda matters too.

Do note that some users are saying the workaround no longer works in the latest version of Cursor (0.44.5+)
