Completion for PowerShell Terminal on Windows

Hi Cursor Team,

I’d like to request an enhancement to the terminal autocompletion feature. On Windows, the Cursor terminal uses PowerShell, but the autocompletion often suggests Linux shell commands instead. I currently work around this by manually prompting Cursor to write commands for PowerShell.

It would be great if Cursor could automatically detect the current shell and provide appropriate CLI commands for that environment.

Yeah agree that would be nice. I have tried to add custom rules for some of the things it tries to use but a “native” solution would be the best.

“The tools grep, tail, wc, head, cat, sed and touch is not available on Windows by default so don’t try to use it unless explicitly asked to”
