same here, not free despite the announcement…
I just want to use Kimi k2 Thinking.
Hasn’t been my experience. Before Composer 1 came out I had been relying on Haiku 4.5 (for the week or two it had existed, lol) in an attempt to strike a balance between speed, cost, and accuracy. It was becoming extremely difficult to continue using Haiku 4.5 in Cursor; it kept having problems invoking the edit_tool and it kept introducing and reintroducing bugs I had to keep burning tokens to fix. Composer 1 doesn’t suffer from any of these problems, I’m finding it to be accurate enough that I’ve only backed off to Sonnet 4.5 a couple times to help it out of a jam.
Same!
same, I am Pro Plan with old billing, 97 / 500 usage but still counting
Nothing in life is ever truly free. Free is the bait used to catch the fish.
It’s the oldest trick in the business playbook.
I subscribed to the Ultra plan to use other LLM’s mainly, as I had been advised online that composer 1 was available as a free trial for a limited time I thought I would primarily use this to save my ultra usage for other LLM’s. However, I’ve discovered that I’m being charged extensively for Composer 1 usage, which was not what I expected based on the information I received.
The charges were unexpected.
I guess they meant “feel free to try”
Is there any progress on this matter?
Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?
Cursor IDE
Describe the Bug
Some people say they can still use Composer-1 for free. However, I still can’t… I used up my entire limit when it was first announced, and now I can’t use it anymore. Could you please help me?

Does this stop you from using Cursor
No - Cursor works, but with this issue
look guys
You’re the ones who sent me the email. I thought that meant I was eligible. Isn’t that how you select people? Why am I now being told that I’m not eligible?@andrewhI still have the issue, not sure if u fixed it yet.
Is this fixed now?
I think they’re ignoring this issue. I’ve seen that some accounts were given free access. So, most of us received the email, but they only selected certain people to actually give it to for free. They didn’t make it free for everyone. However, many people like me used it thinking it was free, and now our tokens are gone or about to run out. I don’t understand why they’re still saying they only gave it to selected accounts instead of making it free for everyone.
Great promotion, I spent $40 on free days.
how do you get it to show that usage %? it’s not below my chat box.
