I am getting repeated errors in the IDE sayig high demand. This started yesterday and is continuing. I use Composer 2.5 but I also see it in Grok.

Hey, thanks for the report with the Request ID and details. That helped us figure it out quickly.

This isn’t about your account or any setting. The High Load / ERROR_RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED error happens when demand for Composer 2.5 (and Cursor Grok 4.5) temporarily exceeds available capacity. During these spikes, some requests on individual plans get rejected with this retryable message. It’s overload protection, not an issue on your side.

What you can do right now:

  • Switch to Auto, it routes you to a model that currently has capacity
  • Pick a different model manually
  • Retry in a few moments, these waves usually pass within minutes

This is the same case discussed here: High Demand Composer 2.5 Error. The peak came in waves throughout the day. We’re tracking capacity. If it starts happening consistently again after the wave dies down, let me know and include a fresh Request ID.
