Composer adding so many empty space fields in code

Composer is adding a lot of empty space lines in code. Sometimes the code is only 200 lines or so but with the extra spacing it makes it close to 1000-2000 lines. Simple edits end up taking so long to apply because of so much empty space. Not sure why this is happening suddenly.

I’ve downgraded to earlier release but issue persists.

this looks strange. does it happen for every composer run you do?

Happens randomaly honestly, but happens when I have a lot of edits, it just keeps adding spaced on every save
