I’m a Cursor Pro subscriber, and I’d like to report an issue that significantly impacted my productivity today.
This morning, I was unable to access advanced models like Claude 3.7 Sonnet and Gemini. Every time I attempted to use them, I received the following error message:
“We’re experiencing high demand for Claude 3.7 Sonnet right now. Please enable usage-based pricing, switch to the ‘auto-select’ model, another model, or try again in a few moments.”
Despite being on the Pro plan, I wasn’t even able to queue for a response, which left me completely stuck on a project I was actively working on. This hasn’t been the case in the past, and Cursor usually offered a smooth experience — so I wonder if something has changed or if there’s a bug affecting priority access.
I understand that high demand can cause delays, but I believe it would be more fair and reasonable if there were separate queues for Pro users who are out of premium requests and free-tier users. As it stands, it feels like I’m being deprioritized despite paying for the service — which isn’t the experience I expected.
Could you please confirm:
- Whether this is a known issue or temporary limitation?
- If Pro users are treated the same as free users once premium requests run out?
- If any changes are being made to improve fairness or capacity management?
Thank you in advance for your time. I look forward to your response and a resolution.
