Connection error after upgrading to 2.2.20

I keep seeing connection errors and a decrease in the overall throughput after updating the IDE to 2.2.20. This is at a level where it is prompting me to consider getting rid of Cursor completely.

Is it just me, or has anyone else been experiencing this?

Same, constant connection errors. Internet is fine and I’m not using a VPN.

Same here but it started about 2 hours ago. Worked perfectly until then. Tried different networks and settings.

Seems related to this. I am also canceling my subscription today.

I have the same issue.

This issue seems to be plaguing their releases, and have been adding more features instead of making their backend AI services more reliable on different dev setups.

Dev contianers don’t work with Cursor at all. Last time this happened with Remote Tunnels, it took them months to push out a fix for it, so don’t hold your breath. This could take time.

I’ll be stuck on <2.1.42 until version 3…

Downgrading to 2.1.50 worked for me and now I have to disable automatic updates.

Unfortunately, Cursor no longer itemizes release notes to individual versions so there is no way to know when it is safe to upgrade, i.e. when they believe this issue is addressed. Even before this show-stopping bug, I would have liked to review release notes prior to upgrading rather than just taking a gamble.
