I’m getting Connection failed. If the problem persists, please check your internet connection or VPN for months now. It happens every single day. And “Copy request id” is a joke because where do I paste it? I’ll paste it here:

I believe you know about the issue. But why can’t you fix it once and forever?

Having read everyone’s posts, it seems to be an issue with IPv6.

The Connection failed is such a major issue. I noticed Cursor has been losing contest completely when it comes back like more than 30 minutes after. Cursor Team, please allocate massive recourses to fix this problem. It’s a big one.

I’ve been experiencing the same issue. The only thing that solved it for me was deleting all my current chats and opening a new one.

wiping everything clear with Cursor’s temp data fixed it for me also. didnt want to lose the history but had no choice:

Same here, this is insane!!!

This issue would happen at least 5 times per prompt. For every 1 prompt, whether it was 1 request or 8 cents (sonnet 4 thinking) or token costs, I would have to say “continue” at least 4 times because the constant failures. Massive majority of my costs are just repeating the prompt because Cursors incompetence.

Are there any new findings in the meantime?
There must be plenty of users who are not experiencing this issue, otherwise there would certainly be more activity in the ticket.
Because of this cursor bug, it’s almost impossible to work.
Very unfortunate.

Hey, thanks for the report. Could you try creating a new chat? Also, could you let me know which model you are using and which version of Cursor you are using? Could you also share the request ID? First, you’ll need to disable privacy mode.
