Cursor 2.1.7 still broken and launching countless terminals
Version: 2.1.7 (user setup)
VSCode Version: 1.105.1
Commit: 3d2e45538bcc4fd7ed28cc113c2110b26a824a00
Date: 2025-11-20T18:51:07.967Z
Electron: 37.7.0
Chromium: 138.0.7204.251
Node.js: 22.20.0
V8: 13.8.258.32-electron.0
OS: Windows_NT x64 10.0.26200
A few things that would help track this down:
Open Powershell and paste the results of gcm git
If you can remember how you installed Git that would also be relevant (via git-scm.com , winget, etc)
The terminal you are using (I see OpenConsole on a screenshot)
Any information is incredibly helpful here as this doesn’t seem to happen on all Windows installations

Hey all - apologies for this issue. We traced it back to a git command launching in non-headless mode. It’s resolved in 2.1.17+ which has been out since this morning.
