Cursor-agent sessions titles not populated, always set to "New Agent"

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor CLI

Describe the Bug

When running cursor-agent ls, I can see a list of agent sessions each with a title. As of a recent update (around 2.0), the title is always set to New Agent rather than a descriptive title, making it difficult to look for past sessions.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. ask cursor-agent anything
  2. run cursor-agent ls and see if a descriptive name is given for your most recent session

Expected Behavior

A descriptive name and not “New Agent” should be given.

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Hey, thanks for the report. This looks like a regression introduced in a recent update. Session titles should definitely be descriptive, not all showing “New Agent”.

I’ll pass this to the team for investigation. In the meantime, you should still be able to access your sessions using their session IDs if needed.

Let me know if you notice any other issues related to session management.

Cursor CLI

Describe the Bug

Since about two days ago, the Cursor CLI has stopped assigning names to new chats.
All new chats are now shown simply as “New Agent”.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Run cursor-agent.
  2. Start a new chat and exchange a few messages.
  3. Run the /list command.

Expected Behavior

Each chat should have a meaningful, automatically assigned name based on the conversation context.

Seems all chat in Cursor CLI would be named as “New Agent“ automatically, how can I rename it ?
