For days now even though ive been updating the software ive tried using multiple models including composer and gemini models but they just dont do anything? they sit loading and maybe it looks like there are looking at stuff but 10 minutes go by and nothing is happening. I cant even use cursor
Hey, thanks for the report. From our side, we can see your requests reach the backend and finish normally with no errors. It looks like the issue is between the server and the client, like response streaming or the network, so in the UI it can look like nothing is happening.
Let’s try this step by step:
- Open App Settings
Cmd+Shift+,orCtrl+Shift+,, search for HTTP/2, and turn on Disable HTTP/2. This often happens with a corporate proxy, VPN, firewall, or antivirus. - Do Reload Window
Cmd+Shift+PorCtrl+Shift+P, then type Reload Window. Even better, fully restart Cursor. - If you’re on a VPN or corporate network, try switching to a different network for a bit and test again.
- Go to Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics.
If that doesn’t help, please send:
- your Cursor version and OS
- the Request ID from one of the stuck requests right top chat menu > Copy Request ID
- whether you’re on a VPN or corporate proxy
